The new NHS Training for Innovation patient safety DVD "How to take care of yourself in your NHS hospital" is now ready to be rolled out across the health service.
The film encourages patients to become more involved in their own care in hospital and can be watched by patients and visitors on the Patientline bedside communications system.
The cartoon, which features the voices of actors, including Jane Horrocks and Gyles Brandreth, is already attracting attention. Imperial College, London, who devised the concept were highly commended in the Health Service Journal awards and the film was shortlisted for an award by the BUPA Foundation.
